“Who are you?” she asked, awestruck.
“I am the Guardian of the Skies,” the creature replied. “And you, little one, are a long way from home.”
Chapter 3: The Way Back Home
Sana felt a sense of melancholy at the Guardian of the Skies’ words. She knew deep down that she couldn’t stay in this world forever, no matter how much she longed to explore its many wonders.
“But I don’t know how to get back home,” Sana said, looking up at the magnificent creature with pleading eyes.

“A task?” Sana repeated, unsure of what was being asked of her.
“Yes, a task,” the Guardian confirmed. “There is a powerful artifact that has been stolen from me, and I require it back. In return for its safe return, I will give you the knowledge you need to cross back over to your own world.”
Sana didn’t know what to say. She had never been one for adventure or danger, but something about the Guardian’s request drew her in.
“Alright,” she said, feeling a sense of determination grow within her. “What do I need to do?”
The Guardian gave her a sly smile, and then began to explain what she needed to do to recover the stolen artifact. Sana listened carefully, committing every detail to memory.
